Silverdale is served by the Central Kitsap School District.

Central Kitsap High SchoolThe District serves about 13,200 students in Kindergarten through Grade 12. The District has two high schools serving Grades 10 to 12, one secondary school serving Grades 7 to 12, three junior high schools serving Grades 7 to 9, two alternative schools, fourteen elementary schools, and a home-school support program. The District employs approximately 1,600 certificated and classified staff and its annual operating budget is $90 million-- including $9.2 million in local levy dollars.

CK scores on national, state, and District-level assessments have risen at a steady pace over the past seven years and are typically above state and national averages. Composite scores on the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) show the average CK student typically outperforms over 60% of the students in the national norm. CK's SAT scores continue to be consistently above the national norm with verbal scores at 522 and math scores at 520.

CK has a long-standing tradition of involving parents and the community in its educational program and decision-making process. The School/Business Partnership Program links area businesses and organizations with schools at all grade levels. The award winning U.S. Navy Personal Excellence through Cooperative Education (PECE) program partners area commands with every school in the District.

Silverwood, Crosspoint Academy, and West Sound Academy are three of the fine area private schools.
