As an unincorporated community of Kitsap County, the residents of Silverdale and the surrounding Central Kitsap area find their local government representation via County Commissioners at the County Seat in Port Orchard. A strong sense of ownership among the residential population, as well as collaborative relationships between organizations such as the Chamber, the Central Kitsap Community Council and the military creates a community patchwork fabric that is uniquely Silverdale.
